Motivation is everything...

...well not everything...money is important too.

I got carried away doing tricep work this evening.

Banged out a couple of these...not sure how heavy it was?

Also weighed in at 118.3kg tonight...so that is 109.5kg to 118.3kg in 17 days.

Enough about me...want to say well done to John who did his testing tonight and hit 100kg on the bench for the first time...I wish I had video of it because without a word of a lie it was a 10 second plus grind out from chest to lockout...it took so long it was almost an isometric cardio session...or at least that's what it would of looked like.

He's going to start a new phase of training now which I will outline in detail over the weekend.

Fake wooden plates and I cannot see your face in the video. So I would guess it is someone else except for the the large belly I see. Yup, it is Will.

will with regards to the quick weight gain i am wondering how that helps you make the bench beyond just ensuring your calories are super adequate. I realise you say it is easy for you to get some to a 1.5 bench which is why 120 is the goal but surely it being mainly fat gain isn't going to have that much of a benefit ?
thanks for your time

Check. The one you forgot to point out is that Johnny was actually doing a 180kg upright row.

As my old training partner used to say...The sky is blue, water is wet, women have secrets and fatness helps benching.

With regard to weight gain...1. I am using After Max by On Nutrition which has 5g of creatine per serve and I am having 2 servings a day....so a fair amount of that weight gain is creatine and therefore water and glycogen related. 2. I've increased my protein intake significantly. I'm not actually gorging or force feeding myself. 3. Yes, I've up my calorie and carbohydrate intake but not massively.

You are mixing up a few things here...my weight gain isn't about reaching 120 so I can say I benched 1.5 times bodyweight...I just know that I need to be a touch over 120kgs to bench my best...this is more about bench 'feel' for me...I'll do a fatness video tonight and we can look and see how much fatter I actually am. Don't have much time right now so I will explain this in more detail later.

Shut Up...stop going on about my weight....I'm very sensitive about it.
