I thought it was about time for another of these...

...what stuff did I tell people I'd do that I haven't? I thought I would do a bit of a homework tidy up of all the stuff that I said I'd post or questions I'd answer that I immediately forgot as soon as I said I'd do it?

I've a bit of a program writing backlog at the moment as well so if you are reading this and thinking...why the hell haven't I got my program rest assured you are on top of my 'to do' list and I'm going to do them all this afternoon and evening and completely clean up my 'to do' list. So if you don't have your program tomorrow morning and you are still waiting for one email then.

So if you have new stuff or old stuff post it here and I will check it all off this week and get completely up to date...maybe that will cut down on the hate mail.

Hey Will,

I stated an interest in how you were correlating all the testing data from a couple of weeks ago. You said that you were nearly done and would explain all when you finished....

Aside from how you correlated the data, are you planning on reviewing results with individuals/management and setting people targets?

What feedback do you give to the sport coaches form your testing data?

I have it all done and we can go through it on Thursday.

Yes, to all of those.

This is really dependent on the coach...it varies really...I know that is a really shit answer but it really depends on their background and understanding of the area.

After we have our meeting on Thursday you can post what you got out of it as a coach & athlete.

sorry will i realise i am late but i tried to post this here yesterday and it didn't go up for some reason.
As such i will only ask about the 1 i am most curious about. This was the post called something a bit different and was related to the 123 123 123 wave loading system. the short story was i asked about some possible reasons why. You said it was more complicated than that and said it would take some time ofr you to explain it. I realise you may have no idea what i am talking about but i am happy to take what ever you throw my way
cheers

I do remember you asking about this and I do remember forgetting to get back to you as soon as I finished saying I would.

Firstly, I just want to say...I've deliberately set out not to make this blog 'article' or 'lecture' based...I try not to get into the 'acedemic' side of things for want of a better word. There are plenty of those sites around and plenty of text books and jornal articles that can cover that area and present that information far better than I can.

What I try to do here is present training how it actually is...as in what we actually do.

I use these type of schemes a lot with a lot of success.

Either 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1 or it could be 12, 6, 3, 12, 6, 3 or similar schemes of that nature and a lot of times I'll use timed rest periods such as 12 reps with a 2 minute recovery, 8 reps with 3 minutes recovery and 4 reps with 1 recovery before going back to 12 reps again....this might be for example leg pressing for 12 reps with 60kg, 8 reps with 100kg and 4 reps with 140kg the first cycle then 90kg, 130kg and 170kg the second time through.

I'll make this a really short explanation...what I'm trying to do is basically accrue some volume and also get a neural effect...does that sound ghey?

I use it...because it works.

will thanks again for answering the question it hepled fill in why you are doing something. Also while i think it is great you show us what you are doing sometime it also helps us to learn if we know your reasoning for throwing something into the mix other than its hard or it looks cool. That wasn't a pay out just me trying to explain were i am coming from.
Hope you get a good sleep

But that's how I choose all my exercises....the harder and cooler looking the better.

No I didn't but it was nice that you had my interests at heart.
